Fall has hit the rangelands
This a perfect time to saddle up the cowpony and head out to enjoy Mother Nature's artistic efforts! Nothing purtier than a gold-leafed quaking aspen. Warm autumn colours make critters and cowpokes wanna ride forever! Yup, the horses are getting shaggier and the cowdogs look for a spot of sun to laze in. Even the ranch cats have been sunning on the bannisters of the ol' ranch house.I'm headin' for Cottonwood Lake and I jest hollered at Many Skies to put the kack on Rebel. It'll be a wonderous afternoon for a ride! Hope youse out there doin' the same!

Ridin' the range
Well, Saddle Pals...git saddled up tuh ride the bunchgrass meadows. The aspens are 'bout ready tuh burst into a brilliant yellow and' there ain't nothin' purtier thet Mother nature kin throw at yuh! The smells tickle the shnoz and settle up under the eyebrows. The sound o' the wind rustling those quakers (aspens) and grouse flushing an' boogering the ol' pony sends yuh into buckaroo heaven.
A distant loon yodellin' his 'get ready fer winter' song sends a chill thru the spine. The rockin' chair motion of the ol' cowpony sets up the best part of Mother Earth intuh remindin' me 'bout the 'real world'...jest too much artificial out there anymore. A lot of today's trouble's and tribulations are caused by a congested spirit in the many folks out there in suburbia and urbia. Give me and my cowpony the buckaroo rangelands!
Adios! Jake
